Florian Poser & Hauke Renken

Vibes duo

When two vibraphonists team up for a duo, that's something special in itself. In the vibraphone duo of Florian Poser and Hauke Renken, there is also the fact that the two, despite a remarkable age difference of almost 40 years, make music as partners, on an equal footing. While Hauke Renken was supervised by Florian Poser in recent years, initially as a music school student and later as a student at the University of the Arts in Bremen, his playing developed so rapidly during this time that he joined the Berlin Jazz Institute in autumn this year could switch to study with David Friedman, one of the world's best jazz vibraphonists. However, this did not affect the duo interaction between Florian Poser and Hauke Renken, on the contrary, the two of them still meet regularly for duo sessions and performances together to this day. Florian Poser is considered to be one of the most interesting and renowned vibraphonists in Germany. He has been teaching jazz and popular music at the University of the Arts since 1994  Bremen, the Detmold University of Music and the University of Bremen. He is also a lecturer in jazz at the music school in the city of Oldenburg.
